Successful completion of the EU
ECSEL FRACTAL project

15.12.2023

As a partner of the ECSEL research team, PLC2 completeded the FRACTAL project in October 2023

The aim of the EU ECSEL FRACTAL project is to create a reliable computing platform node, realizing a so-called Cognitive Edge under industry standards.

The main topics are scalable IoT nodes that are networked both at coordination level and at application. Powerful nodes from this FRACTAL system can thus take over typical tasks of the cloud backbone that take over the orchestration and AI/ML parts of applications in traditional systems. With this local data processing, it is also possible to make autonomous decisions about the system’s behavior using AI to exchange and use any information across nodes. For all the project results and achievement, please visit the official FRACTAL website.

In collaboration with various universities across Europe and SMEs, PLC2 has been working on the implementation for three years and successfully finished the project in October 2023. Sign up to the PLC2 newsletter and stay updated on our developments in the world of FPGA.
