Training
In which countries is PLC2 an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) of AMD?
PLC2 is an ATP in Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Turkey.
What does AMD ATP stand for?
AMD Authorized Training Providers (ATPs) are expert instructors specializing in all aspects of FPGA and embedded design from software to systems and beyond. Courses offered leverage training materials specifically developed by AMD engineers and enhanced further via the specialized knowledge and expertise of AMD ATP instructors.
Can the training content be customized to specific FPGA and embedded design project requirements?
Yes. On request, we create customized training courses that are precisely tailored to your company’s tools, processes, and methods. See also our In-House training format.
Are there hands-on exercises in PLC2 training courses?
Depending on the course format, hands-on exercises are included in most of the training sessions, especially in workshops, power workshops, and online live courses.
How can I register for a PLC2 training course?
Go to the page of your desired training course and click the button »Book workshop«. You will jump directly to the booking form. Fill out the form and click submit. You will receive a confirmation e-mail immediately.
Can you help me with booking a room for the duration of my PLC2 training?
If you need a room for a face-to-face course, please contact us. We will support you in choosing suitable accommodation.
What times in the day do PLC2 training courses start and end?
Our face-to-face and online courses start daily at 9 a.m. (CET/CEST) and end at 5 p.m., with two coffee breaks and an extended lunch break. The total course time per day is 6 hours.
Are course materials provided in a PLC2 training?
All participants of paid courses will receive English training materials in electronic or paper form.
Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the PLC2 training course?
Each participant of a paid PLC2 course will receive a signed certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
Can I pay PLC2 training with Training Credits (TCs)?
Of course, you can also pay for your training using your available TCs (Training Credits). We will then invoice AMD directly. If you do not have sufficient credit for the booked training, the difference can be paid for with an additional payment. The additional charge will be invoiced directly to you.
What are the options for payment for PLC2 training?
You can pay us via bank transfer or with TCs (Training Credits). Unfortunately, payment via debit, credit card, or PayPal is not possible.
What is the deadline for payment for PLC2 training?
Payment is due 14 days after the invoice date, without deduction. Please transfer the amount within that time.
What are the options for cancelling a PLC2 training?
You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before the course starts. If you have to cancel at short notice due to illness or other reasons, you have the option of adding a substitute participant or of making up the course at a later date (within 6 months).
When will I receive a firm commitment as to whether the PLC2 training course will take place?
You will receive binding confirmation 7 days before the course begins as to whether it will go ahead.
What is the minimum number of participants for a PLC2 training?
We generally offer courses for 5 or more people. This means that if you would like to book a course at your location, either five people must register or you must pay for five participants, even if fewer people attend.
Can I book a PLC2 training course that is given in English?
If you need a course that is officially advertised as given in German to be given in English, please contact us. We will try to make that possible for you.
What language is the PLC2 training course in?
Our webinars and online courses are conducted in English. All our F2F training courses are generally conducted in German. Feel free to contact us if you need face-to-face training in English or online training in German.

Which markets does PLC2 serve in the area of Development Service?
Mainly industry, automotive, defense, robotics, and medical.
How can I initiate a Development Service project with PLC2?
Typically we start with a telecon to capture expectations and timeline, then an NDA is agreed and more detailed technical content and requirements are shared. We perform common requirements capture phase or directly quote the project on an hourly basis or fixed price basis.
What is the typical range of Development Service projects?
Several weeks to more than a year.
What is the typical lead time before a Development Service project?
Preferably contact is established 3-6 months ahead of the project. In urgent cases, we can react within 2-4 weeks.
What expertise can I expect from PLC2 as a Development Service partner?
Requirements capture; design and validation of IP blocks, integration of 3rd-Party IP blocks; porting to newer FPGA-technologies; Zynq7000 and MPSoC based systems; systems architecture; bare metal, RTOS and Embedded Linux software; high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Multi 10G Ethernet, USB, DDR-RAM, …); timing constraints; assessment, correction, and justifications related to synthesis, timing, CDC, implementation, power reports; drivers and host-frontends and UIs.
How can we cooperate with PLC2 as a Development Service partner?
We can work as an extended workbench with the customer, collaborate in development teams, or just deliver according to a specification.
Are project management and process assurance included in PLC2s Development Service projects?
Yes, we offer complete project management, risk management, and process assurance along the project.
Are PLC2 trainers involved in Development Service projects as well?
Yes, there is a strong interaction between trainers and Development Service personnel. Trainers act as team mentors, and they benefit from Development Service teams and their project experience.

Each newsletter contains the »Unsubscribe« button at the bottom. You will be automatically unsubscribed from the newsletter when you click that button. Alternatively, you can also send us an email to info@plc2.de. We will delete your address from our mailing list immediately.
What topics are featured in the PLC2 newsletter?
In our PLC2 newsletter we try to keep you up to date on our company, our courses, and regarding the industry in general. We try to provide you with content that is as varied as possible so that you are always up to date.
How often is the PLC2 newsletter issued?
Our newsletter is always issued when there is something important to announce. Generally, that means once or twice a month at the most.
Career
What is the normal application process at PLC2?
First, we are starting with a 30-minute get-to-know interview with our HR team or the team leader for this open position.
If you were able to convince the participants of the interview, it continues with a second 30-minute interview with the team leader (high-level technical assessment).
If you were able to convince the team leader as well, we will go on with 90 minutes technical deep dive with the team leader.
Finally, if you pass this test, there will be a 30-minute interview with the management at the end.
