Save the date:
June 30 – July 02, 2026.
The FPGA Conference 2025 was once again the meeting place for developers, engineers and decision-makers in the field of programmable logic devices. In a joint organization, PLC2 and ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS welcomed FPGA experts from all over Europe to a three-day event on July 1 – 3, 2025. A fully booked exhibitor space set the stage for in-depth conversations on emerging developments in programmable logic.
Top experts such as AMD’s Michael Hutchison presented current developments on AI, best practices and new approaches in the areas of FPGA design and AI. The interest in the theme tracks and hands-on practical tutorials shows once again the importance of this conference.
A special highlight was the AMD-sponsored evening event on the first conference day, which offered participants the perfect setting to continue technical discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. With excellent food, inspiring conversations, and a keynote impulse to round off the day, the get-together fostered valuable connections beyond the lecture hall. Many attendees used the opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and deepen newly gained insights.

PLC2-Powered Open-Source: VHDL IP Core Library
01.07.2025

Global collaboration through expert conribution.
PLC2 has long since engaged in developments around open-source projects, using these technologies not only in our training portfolio but also in all our own and customer projects.
Our experts Patrick Lehmann and Stefan Unrein continuously work on the framework PoC (Pile of Cores) and develop the library as part of PLC2’s contribution to the community. By using the library in nearly all of our customer projects and PLC2 products, we ensure independence from vendor-specific IP cores.
As part of the recent developments, our experts announced the generic AXI4-Lite Register with its audience at this year’s FPGA Conference Europe. The PoC 2.0 release includes the first AXI4-Lite, AXI4-Stream, and AXI4-MM components, provided by PLC2.
